Bo's guy Sloan made a huge recovery, that I did not think was possible and had an excellent finish. Let's not forget Pete, really nice derby and again MM rules the Rock. Picture of consistency. I hear a lot of folks pooh-pooh 13#-15# limits on TR, mostly due to weights in some of the one day spring derbies, I think. If you can consistently catch 14#-16# or so, you are doing it right. Second time Mike has proved that. vernon, merc1997 Bo, big c and 3 others 6

The gulls were there on my Guide trip on Monday, and have been for some time now. We did very well there Monday. As for MikeS. please give him my best and tell him he is in our thoughts and prayers. This is the same location that Mike M. was fishing the Gulls bill, thanks for the prayers for mike. i sure would love to see him healthy again, and somehow get back into what the loves and that is fishing. the tourney was certainly a barn burner down to the wire. drew was disappointed that he did not make the adjustment needed on friday, and that small drop off cost him. he did mention losing a 3 lber. today that would have added about 4 oz. to his weight. well that pattern is just about done for the next time we have lower water levels. i am ready for night fishing and have the lake to myself for a while. the pattern that mike m. will remain for a spell yet, but it takes lots of looking to find those areas that are holding bait, and be able to figure out where they are moving to on a daily basis. most anglers forget that 20 ft. deep a 1/4 mile out in the lake is the same as 20 ft. deep up by the bank. bo dtrs5kprs, 176champion and Quillback 3
Bill Babler Posted March 5, 2017 Author Posted March 5, 2017 Thanks Bo. You did a bang up job. Great derby with some really fantastic results for this early in the season. Very exciting. Wish they could have gotten the coverage to have worked out. I live almost right across from State Park and stream 5 Verizion Bars, so really I don't think they can say the cell or internet coverage is bad here. I'm kind of thinking like everyone else posting on their site that they may need some new IT people or better equipment if they are going to do this. If their not going to do it right, just don't get peoples hopes up and just flat don't do it. I'm giddy over Mikes win and they way Pete finished. 15.5 on the last day was strong as heck.
