Did Steak Inn used to be called Carols in Shell Knob ? Best Onion rings ever.....Huge, flour dredge instead of corn meal....been years...had a group down from Kansas City....warned them we couldn't get Rings if we didn't get off the water....they turned the fryer off at 8:15....we were catching fish so well they voted to keep fishing.....8:45..... No onion rings....Still argue about this after all these years....

Good grief.  Can't this country produce anything for itself anymore ?

IMO we need clear labeling laws in our grocery stores and restaurants as to origins of the seafood we eat.  Lengthy article in the link below, but I am going to be a bit more careful about eating imported shrimp for sure.

Steak Inns pork chops are fabulous!  And very reasonably priced. I order the chops more than steak now.

My brother gets em'.  Says they're fabulous.  I just can't not get the danged ribeye though.  Maybe I need to go like four or five days in a row.  Then, maybe..........

That is sacrelige!

Ain't no reason for anyone from Missouri to be eatin' Vietnamese catfish.

If you knew the conditions Vietnamese catfish or SE Asia Tilapia were raised in you wouldn't touch any of it much less eat it.  Remember Agent Orange ?  That's another reason to avoid Vietnamese Catfish but not the only one.

If you're fishing out of Mill Creek why drive further when Jill's Ozark BBQ is located at the top of the hill where the road down to Mill Creek ( RB ) hits Hwy 13 ?

Excellent Baby Backs, Riblets, and if you're really hungry, try her combination plate but you'd better have a big appetite !  Plenty of room for boat/trailer parking and usually not all that crowded.

Or, if you have access to a grill, go to Harter House and pick up a Tri-Tip sirloin roast. Have them coat it with Pappy's Garlic Herb Seasoning.

Sear on both sides and then cook it fat side up over indirect heat. (directions on package)

Grab a loaf of Italian bread, a bag of salad and some dressing, and of course, a bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's!

The leftover meat makes a great sandwich, hot or cold, the next day.

You got that right about the Tri-tips. Best flavor and usually you have medium, rare & well done on one piece of meat. Lately more stores are selling them (Price Cutters). I cook them 20 min. per side & fat side up the second half on the Egg. Never had a bad one.
