Why anyone in their right mind would fish that lake anywhere close to the Mexican border is beyond me. Lots of good lakes in this country to fish where you aren't in immediate danger of being gunned down like its 1870.

I've been there twice without any issues but there is no way I'm going back.

Yeah I've been there 3 times.  Caught some absolute monster bass out there, but this was about 10 years ago that I had my last trip.  My dad lived in McAllen TX for a while which is in driving distance so we would go when I would come down to visit.  

Dangerous place for sure.

The really good lakes are about 70 miles southeast. But Falcon is much safer than those right now. That's too bad because there aren't any lakes in the states that compare.
