Don't go to Falcon Lake!

have not read or heard of any particulars on this event.  i need to call my friend that lives in zapata and get the official scoop on what when on.  he fishes on the mexican side more than on our side, and has never had any incident.  in fact, of all the times that i have fished down there, we have spend all of our time on the other side.  

certainly always use caution and leave when you see a situation that does not feel right.  but, it is a good chance that it might have involved drugs.  remember the incident with the couple on the jet ski???

one of the things that does need to be enforced on that lake is water usage by mexico.  they take more than their share every year, but we never do anything about it.

I read an article about this shooting and they said it happens about once a week down there.

Other than visiting a friend one time in Hawaii I had literally never been out of CONUS prior to a trip to a place a friend has in Cabo San Lucas.  Once we were in the "compound" at Diamante` all was good and it was one of the coolest and most beautiful places I've ever been.  However, going through the airport and the trip to and from the place was enough to convince us that one visit was our limit.

No more out of country trips for the kid.  I'll just have to experience it all via Discovery Channel and National Geographic I guess.

Just like fishing certain rivers and creeks in st louis and jefferson counties.  Keeps things interesting.
