New to forum, this is my first post.  From Indiana where the lakes are very shallow and much smaller compared to Table Rock.  Fished after the rain storms this morning for about four hours.  Caught 21 bass, of which 20 were smallmouth up to 16" and one nice largemouth at 18".  Fish were all on chuck rock and fairly steep banks.  All fish were from right on bank to about 20 feet out.  All caught on Ned Rig.  I threw warts, RCs, Keitech 3.8s, grubs, and underspins with swimbait. Could not catch them on anything but Ned Rig.  Most of the time, they would not run it, but when I lifted the rod, I felt something heavy and then set the hook.  Almost all fish came this way.   They would just get it in their mouth and leave it there.  All you would feel is something heavy.  No bite, no hit, no run.  Doesn't matter, I still had a great day,  All CPR to live and fight another day.

Bassinbill, sounds like you had a great day. There are days when the bite is exactly like you described. Then there are times when they jerk it out of your hand. What works for me is to do nothing but keep the line with a slight sag and keep my fingers on the line so I can feel the slightest tick. Nice pictures of healthy fish. Welcome to the forum. A bunch of great folks here.
