Quillback Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Fished for crappie today with Muddy Water, we fished from Viney to mouth of the Kings, trying several coves. We caught half a dozen in 6 hours of fishing, I expected to have to work for them, but was hoping for more than a half dozen. Nice fish, 12-13" and thick bodied, but not many of them. We caught them swimming small flukes on 1/16 oz Ned heads. We also caught about a few bass on the swimmer. We swam them from the bank back to the boat, seems most of our bites were in about 10 FOW. Saw water temps from 56 to almost 60. Champ188, vernon, dtrs5kprs and 13 others 16

96 CHAMP Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Crappie fishing is make or brake for sure quill, unless your after them consistently, put your time in and or get lucky. You got enough for a good meal though, nice to see the water coming up, be careful out there for under water floaters. Champ188 and vernon 2
Seth Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 It only takes a few to make a good meal when they are that nice. Champ188 1
buckwhisperer Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Good job Quill, thanks for report. Be careful out there.

Picture of the back side of that stuff. We were having success in little pockets like this on Saturday/Sunday when there was water running in. Big smallie of the weekend was in a pocket almost exactly this. dtrs5kprs, Quillback and Champ188 3
dtrs5kprs Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 There should be a bunch of them back in there, nose into that inflow. Thumping time. Champ188 and Royal Blue 2
