joeD Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 A few nice fish from last week in the Lower Peninsula. Bragging? Of course. This is a fishing forum, right? BilletHead, Haris122, Deadstream and 11 others 14
snagged in outlet 3 Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Those are beauties!! What method did you use to catch them?
joeD Posted April 19, 2017 Author Posted April 19, 2017 Little black stonefly with plastic bead dropper. Hit mostly the bead, which is afixed a couple inches above the hook. snagged in outlet 3 1
joeD Posted April 19, 2017 Author Posted April 19, 2017 I've only been going to this stream for four years, having been introduced to it through my friend, who has fished this area for decades, without a missed year. So, I feel it's not my place to name this stream in a public forum. It is not unknown, but it is off the radar enough and somewhat difficult to fish, that it keeps its special nature. bfishn, Daryk Campbell Sr, snagged in outlet 3 and 2 others 5
Deadstream Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 I understand joeD. I don't ever tell anybody about the tributaries of the Muskegon, Pere Marquette, Manistee, AuSable, Bear, Platte, Boardman, Willow Run, Canyon Creek, The Hopkins, etc. And that doesn't count the downstate or Lake Huron side rivers. If you want some U.P. tips you can go find them yourself. Henry Every 1
joeD Posted April 20, 2017 Author Posted April 20, 2017 Why does your desire to know supersede my reluctance to reveal? Am I under some obligation to answer your question? No reason to get pissy. I'm Bartleby the Scrivner: "I'd prefer not to."
Deadstream Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Hey, I really don't care. I am sure I know plenty of places that I will share with anybody . I asked for a river, not a tributary or a GPS location. You enjoy yourself sir.
joeD Posted April 20, 2017 Author Posted April 20, 2017 I would prefer not to. snagged in outlet 3, Daryk Campbell Sr and ozark trout fisher 3
