Out of curiosity, what will the next 36 hours of rain do to the fishing?  I know early in the year it could shut things down because it would drop water temps.  Are the fish locked into the Spring pattern on the lake?

In my experience it depends on how the lake comes up and the temps of water coming in. Fast raise and warm in flow some chase it and a guy can junk fish. Fast raise and cooling, man can it be tough. Seems like they stay wherever they were and let the lake come up over them and wait it out for more stable conditions to really bite again.

If if they were on a bed 5' deep they will be that plus whatever the rise is.

Think a lot of the shallow fish will just hunker down. Like me, currently.

Expect it to be a tougher bite.

Only for about a week though!

I am thinking several things will happen.

People planning on sight fishing beds will be out of luck for at least a week, maybe more.

After Friday and Saturday, we will need at least 3 or 4 days of 70+ temp days to get back to chuck and wind fishing.

Blade bait fishers will need to slow down and use Colorado blades.

For the OA One Bass, the little guy just became relevant again.

p.s. One of my rods on Saturday will have a black twin spin with trailer tied on for slow rolling across the bottom.
