tapout Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 An ounce of prevention ....... Folks always second guess the decisions, but after Dec of 2015- I'd say it's a good call. dtrs5kprs 1 I'd like to thank my FUTURE sponsers: Falcon Rods, Jewel Bait Co, and Seagar

Guest Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 yeah they didnt generate much after the last rain & let it back fill, that got them into this decision.
dtrs5kprs Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 A skeptical type might think they were trying to hold water to generate with summer coming. magicwormman and mixermarkb 2
Guest Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Flood control vs power generation is a slippery slope sometimes.
vernon Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Flood control is ALWAYS priority number 1 with power generation a distant number 2. When flooding is not occurring nor imminent, generation is the focus. Many might disagree with the methodology employed prior to, during or after an event but the priority of flood control is never compromised. shark bait, Champ188 and Hunter53 3 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." mixermarkb Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Power generation used to be a distant number 2. I don't think it's nearly so distant now that those electrons are worth a lot more money. Don't worry though, they will run it all through TR fast until they get Bull flooded and have to store some in Johnny's Pond. dtrs5kprs, Hunter53, vernon and 2 others 5

When flood control isn't a factor you can bet your sweet bippy they'll suck water out of here till the old Kimberling bridge is serviceable again in order to generate electricity when the market so dictates. That's how it got so low this past winter. Hunter53 and Champ188 2 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." George Carlin "The only money ever wasted is money never spent."
