dtrs5kprs Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Started out fishing oak trees in lawns with Ned. Caught several right off, then it slowed. Or I ran out of the right oak trees. However you'dlike to look at it. Those fish were on deeper oaks, 10'-15' on them. Also caught a few roaming around the oaks but not tight to them. One keeper spot and some shorts on Ned. Found some blade fish on bare banks in the afternoon. Shallower than shallow. Had three keepers up there, including last fish of the trip, nice 4# black. Brown fish haven't moved into those oaks yet. Once they realize the world hasn't ended, likely after the predicted warm up, it will get crazy in those oaks. Did I say they were shallow? Check the mud all over this one. Temps were just threatening 64 at 4pm. Color is brown, but not muddy. Makes sense once you see it. Stay safe. NebSchmidty, Quillback, cheesemaster and 13 others 16
