My family and I are headed down for a week and we are staying at a resort on North Indian Creek.  How's the water looking up that way around Indian Point?  I'm hoping I can use the resort's ramp and not have to go down to the marina to put in.

The launch at Indian Point is still closed, as of earlier today at least. Water is getting a little better as far as clarity. Have not been out on a boat in a week or so, but have heard there are fish in the bushes and on out.

The launch at the marina is closed?  That's not good then.  I doubt the jankey little ramp at the resort is good then.

You could always have someone drop you at State Park and drive on over by water.  I think that's what a lot of people are doing right now on that part of the lake.

Lot of resort ramps will float it better than a corps ramp during high water. Just use the road down to the ramp.

I'm thinking I can get the boat in doing that, but I think the dock they have won't be available.  May just have to pull the boat out every time we want to take it out.

Found out our resort has one of the only accessible ramps in all of Indian point right now.  They are letting a lot of other resorts put in and take out there.  They have a plank extension too so their dock is available.  Might pull it out anyways since their electric on the dock is out since it's up.  It'd be easier to charge the batteries at the cabin.

That's awfully nice of them to let other resort guests use their ramp...........Sounds like some real Ozarks hospitality right there.:-)

Best way. Less likely to go missing.

The problem is that a lot of the resorts don't allow trailer parking anywhere near the units so you have to drop it in some obscure location designated for such use.  Kinda like a big candy store for thieves - one stop shopping.  

Still Waters is among the worst.  While the parking area is lighted, it's up on a hill in the middle of nowhere with zero visibility from anywhere in the resort area and no security.
