Plenty of times I've caught my biggest fish of the day right where there were people stirring up the water and making noise.

Some of us fish for the biggest fish of a lifetime.....B)

Well Mo Carp I guess you can either suck it sup because you do realize lakes are busy from Memorial day to labor day on weekends so u can either fish during the week or wait until the off season or just fish the farthest areas away from the so called nuisance

Also doesnt seem to bother the guys that post on the actual stockton Forum or they just ignore it

To back ur alleged facts that its being a real Nuisance(to some) besides the picture of the party crowd is there actual proof that they are harming or causing Havvick in which LE need to be enforcing  any particular laws

All boats are loud whether they carry anglers or anyone else, so it's not about that.  Park yourself at a boat ramp for a couple hours anywhere during the summer and you'll run across anglers who've drank too much, so it's not about that.  Anglers deposit miles of fishing line in places like Stockton every year and who knows how many pounds of weight, hooks, plastic lures, worm containers, and other goodies- stuff that entangles and poisons wildlife, chokes them, starves them, get's stuck in swimmer's feet.  So it's not about littering, either.

There's no moral high ground here, y'all are cranky 'cause things have changed and you don't like it.  It's the aquatic version of "YOU KIDS! GET OFF MY LAWN!"  They're doing it without thinking.  Some of what you guys are advocating is just plain harassment, and the idea that it makes you morally superior is totally asinine.

Frankly, I don't understand why the business owner should care that people who don't support his business don't like it.  It'd be like me staging a protest in JoAnn's Fabric insisting they cave in to my demands even though I've never set foot in the place.  I'm sure the owner doesn't want to fuss with drunks and fights and property damage that cuts in to his profits, either- and if anglers were supporting local businesses to the degree they believe, the owner wouldn't have to.

Instead of escalating the BS, show the manager the money he's missing out on by catering to this crowd.  If anglers' pockets aren't deep enough to make up the difference, that's life.

At what point do one person's rights to do something impact other people enough that they shouldn't have that right?  It's always a sticky question.  Often, the characteristics of one particular activity cause it to conflict with other activities...while those other activities wouldn't conflict with others' enjoyment of the resource.  In this case, the bar's noise and undesirable elements are affecting other lake users negatively, while those other users aren't affecting anybody nearly as much.  So do the bar's owners REALLY have the right to operate?  By law, apparently so.  I highly doubt if there are any particular zoning laws that would preclude them from doing so.  But there probably should be.  Most people are against zoning laws because they don't want anybody telling them what to do on their property...until somebody else does something on THEIR property that negatively impacts everybody else.  Then zoning laws don't seem like such a bad idea, but by then it's too late.

Just because you dont partake in the use of this resort or Bar doesnt mean others dont

Why do we need More regulations when as a warden or cop they have to really ponder and choose which laws/regulations are going to be enforced at the exact time and place of the occurrence or event

I sorry if my "lake user group" gets Trumped off at YOUR user group....just because YOU like getting your bar fix  @ Stockton, and sometimes go fishing, some of  "My lake user group" is WAY WAY more serious about fishing...doesn't mean new laws can't get brought about.....I bet the rare Ospery and Bald Eagles get "disturbed" off the nest and need some protecting from "excessive" night nose that  makes the birds abandon their chicks,

:excl: I think I am on to something here, I bet loud generators and bright lights on boat fishing boats fall into "disturbed" category......

I understand drunk chicks in swim suits are a huge draw...I get that.. if someone wants to chase chicks at the bar great I don't have to go....if you don't want to fish great don't go....but now I am forced to go to the bar, so-to-speak... if I fish Stockton.......If thats what people want go to LOZ......

I am FAR from a social justice warrior, I am a card carrying, gun toting, church going, voting conservative..

The big city liberal life style, (see LOZ)... is why people like me got "Trumped off" and are not going to take it anymore....I don't have to like A-morality, or rainbow gender neutral mamby pambyness...I am not giving up tradtional hunting, fishing, trapping and the love of the outdoors with out a fight and many off "us" feel that way

the trends of "Industrialized Outdoor Activities" creates lake Havasu, LOZ

TR...dragging Taney with it are screaming in that direction.......

Getting off my soap box now
