Ham Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 I'm being taunted by large numbers of super massive carp. I'm going to get even with them in the coming weeks. I'm not going to do boiles though. I'm going to ground bait with sweetened corn and maybe strawberry koolaid wheaties and then slip them a circle hook with a half a night crawler or corn on a hair rig. Ive got a big net. snagged in outlet 3 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Green Giant corn on a scud hook and 1/4 ounce bullet weight works for me. Ned rod would be about perfect. Where I fish they don't get fished at all and the water is muddy.
MoCarp Posted July 6, 2017 Author Posted July 6, 2017 usually to catch the big lumps takes different tactics, just like fishing for big bass, got to weed out the lil fellows..sweet corn on a hook on a bass rod will land you some carp......a 50"er.....well....seen big carp yank a reel right of the rod seat! Ham 1 MONKEYS? what monkeys?
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Carp are a lot of fun to catch. My first fish was a carp.
