i usually throw a black and blue jig or wobblehead with dark colors or or big worms. This guy came on sexy shad 6xd last night. Don't know why I picked it up at 10 pm but I'm glad I did. Lol.

Nice fish, congrats!

Kee, sweet fish. I'm wondering why you had the crank bait tied on? Congratulations

I throw a Black spinnerbait with the colorado blade.  My go to is the Jewel Jolt with a salt craw trailer.  I like a black and blue chatterbait and I've actually slayed them on the ned in junebug a bunch.

They'll eat a Ned like crazy at night. Even the regular daytime colors.

Plain old TX rigged salt craw is always good too.

i believe bass would bite anything at night just as they will in the daytime.  however, i have not caught one on a spoon at night, and i have tried, but i do know of some that claim they catch them on a spoon at night all the time.  i would say that i have caught bass at night on everything except the spoon.  drop shots work great at night when the bass are pretty finicky.

We had been out deep before dark an throwing them for awhile. Then we had just got to slow point later in the evening and had been throwing typical night stuff and I still had that rod out and picked it up just to see what would happen and my 2nd cast with it got crushed. Needless to say I kept throwing it after that with no more takers. Lol.

I have enough problems with single hooks baits that I don't even think about throwing a bait with a double set of trebles. Dock owners around the dam area would NOT be happy if I was flinging DD22's and the like after sundown. Also probably save myself a few trips to the ER by keeping the cranks locked up in their box at night.
