I stopped watching the news 10 years ago. Now that I am retired I get on twitter and follow news organizations, reporters and politicians on both sides. And I am able to post a response to them when I agree or don't agree. It is much better than just yelling at the tv. I get some satisfaction out of it.

It's about half covered and the temp dropped and it's slightly darker.  Kinda erie.

Kind of a seven PM look to things here.  Should get a bit darker.

Looks like 2/3 of the way here and temperature is dropping..

That was a weird light.

The coolest part for me was that the cicada's went apeshit.   I haven't heard or seen a cicada all Summer, but obviously they are out in huge numbers.

It was like a full moon night.  The crickets went nuts here.  Street lights went on too.  And of course true to hillbilly St Charles County......Fireworks!

Only had about 75% eclipse here but got very very quiet...
