duckydoty Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 I have noticed recently that all the browns in Taney with a clipped adipose fin are a lot bigger than the browns without the adipose clipped. I'm thinking clipping the adipose helps them grow faster. grizwilson, cracklebak and Johnsfolly 3 A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Trevor K Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 Are the browns with the clipped adipose fins triploid? That could explain the higher growth rate.
Members cracklebak Posted August 23, 2017 Members Posted August 23, 2017 Nope the clipped adipose fin is a courtesy to remind anglers that these fish were genetically modified (GMO) and taste TERRIBLE so you ought to throw those nasty ones back. grizwilson, ruthead, snagged in outlet 3 and 4 others 6 1
