Hummm... one unit, if you're not doing anything to move you downstream and no wind, 4 hours? 5 hours. Slow going after Fall Creek.

2 units, half the time maybe.

It really is hard to say.  There's a lot of variables.  Let us know when you float is - how long.

Sorry about that 90 min stuff.I meant to say 90 min to drift to the narrows as I rarely drift past that area. You are right  Phil about it being a slow drift past Fall Creek, you might never get there if the wind is blowing upsteam !!

Reporting in on my float  on sept 1.  I was in my drift boat in the vicinity of the MDC launch ramp when the horns blew at 12:00 . I believe 4 units on, around 100MW,. Tail water elevation around 707.  Not very windy. It took right at 3 hrs to float to Cooper Creek . Only used trolling mtr to keep the drift straight.   I expect phil's est of 5-6 hrs on 1-2 units is pretty close.  Fishing over Labor Day weekend was great.  Good luck on #14 holographic blue cracklebacks on top and #18 olive/gray scuds dead drifted before they started running water.  After generation started changed to #12 gray scud with strike indicator set deep, maybe 9ft.  I forgot about how trashy the water gets at the beginning of generation.  Had trouble not picking up moss.   Tried banging the bank with big streamers on sink tip line.  Wore my arm out on the sink tip to no avail.  Still a lot of fun.   On Saturday sept 2 I put in again at the MDC ramp,. No change to the fishing pattern except they did not start generating til later in the afternoon so I did not float on Saturday.  My minn Kota I pilot really worked well controlling my drift, a lot like dragging a chain, kept boat oriented upstream.   Spot lock anchor function very handy too.

cant wait to get back
