Congrats on a productive trip and thanks for the report.  We found the same thing last weekend, no action in the deeper holes.  You had to concentrate on structure around moving water (since it was sunny the shady spots were a big plus too).  With the cooler temps the Meramec looks more like mid October water than mid September.  Hope to fish with you in the near future.

Smells Like Middle Aged Advertising. Not Teen Spirit.

Five specific mentions. Not to mention colors.

Ok with me.

But you would have reported a less than stellar day with the craw right?

Great job Scott!  Thanks for posting!

Mitch the Kiwi color absolutely rocks IMO and you know what I'm talking about on the craw bite....it is a very fun deal

I guess so....it was the only bait I took

Also I am not a part of Tackle HD anymore and have nothing to gain from expressing my opinions of their bait. Im not trying sell ~~....just trying to give some guys who frequent this site some help in catching fish on something other than a Ned Rig.

I guess I should have been a little more neutral and PC and said Bait X instead of mentioning their bait.

I've had pretty good luck paddling up from accesses. People in boats try to get as far away as possible and people stuck on the bank can only hit it so hard and usually do a poor job at it.

Nice fish.
