Sorry it's a couple of days old but thought I'd give a brief report on what I found Tuesday. In short ... not much.

Launched at 8:30 AM at Eagle Rock to avoid as much of the Cops4Kids traffic as possible and succeeded, seeing only a couple of other boats all day.

Despite the strong cold front that blew in the night before, surface temps remained 74-76 everywhere I went. Started out in a wooded pocket not far from the ramp, then proceeded to Roaring River, Panther and eventually Rock Creek. Without putting anyone to sleep with the boring details, I managed 10-12 fish over 6.5 hours, including three, maybe four small keepers. All were caught on a 1/4-ounce War Eagle tandem willow spinnerbait or smallish crawfish-colored cranks. Tried a Ned, various topwaters and even a fast-retrieve jerkbait to no avail.

Better times are coming soon.

Highlight of the day was the nearly nonstop progression of migrating geese flying just under the high cloudcover.

Thanks for the report Champ!!

Finding them is one thing and getting them to bite is another....The ones that had fish to weigh Saturday in that tournament i was in claimed they caught them on whopper ploppers and stick baits..

I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything!

Better times to come for fishing for sure, never a bad day on the water though. Seen Pete wenners latest report last night & that is basically what he eluded too. Says Bull Shoals is going good though. Thanks for the report!!

I was out today, not much to add, there were two of us fishing and we managed a dozen with 2 keepers.  A couple early walking the dog, then the rest on jigs.  Fairly good early bite, then things died off real quick. Not much boat traffic either which is another clue the fishing is tough, by noon it was a ghost town.  Beautiful day, so it's good to be out fishing, but sure wouldn't hurt to have a little better bite going on.

Water cooled down 2 more degrees from Champ's outing, saw 72 and 71 for the most part today.  Little warm front coming in, so may jump a degree or two, but that ought to be temporary.

Two of us caught 14 today with 5 keepers from 9 to 3 between eagle rock and big m. Nothing over 16 inches. We caught them on the booyah multi blade spinner, rage blade blaster and a plastic worm . Most fish were shallow and on wind blown banks.

What's the water clarity looking like lately?  Looks pretty bluegeeen there,  but wondered if the gold double willow was in response to some sort of dirt or tannin stain... or just the lighting/cloud cover).  Will be down for a week in just a little over a week.

Yes, the water is a bit stained in that upper White area and there was cloud cover all day. Plus, I just catch a lot of fall fish on that War Eagle gold shiner.
