Ealy Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Anyone else get tired of only getting a few uses from a tube of Super Glue before the cap sticks to the nozzle? I can usually twist the cap off with pliers, damage the nozzle, and get a few more baits glued, but what a waste! I've thrown away well over a dozen bottles this year. Any responsible super glue users ever get to use the full tube before it's trash time? What gives? snagged in outlet 3 1
snagged in outlet 3 Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Happens to me every time. I recently tried Gorilla glue but I haven't had to reopen it yet. I'll let you know if it does the same thing.
Members Willyh08 Posted October 24, 2017 Members Posted October 24, 2017 I started using this type based on a comment in the recent past from Bill Babler. cheaper in the long run than the Locktite Super Glue https://www.harborfreight.com/10-piece-super-glue-gel-68349.html or https://www.harborfreight.com/10-piece-super-glue-gel-68349.html Champ188 1
merc1997 Bo Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 get a bottle of the liquid and you can open and reclose the lid. to apply, use a toothpick. this method has worked for me for a long time. bo Royal Blue 1
fishinwrench Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 My 8 year old can't be trusted with it either, but I have no problem using it to the very last drop. Wipe the tip off before putting the cap on. Don't leave the cap off for 5 minutes while you're jacking around. Keep the bottle upright and not just rolling around on the floor.

The above advice is the way to go, Especially wiping the tip o1ff. Dewayne French 1
moguy1973 Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 I've been using the Harbor freight stuff and I keep it upright and do all the stuff wrench said and it's helped. Just tossing it in the storage compartment doesn't. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Members kansasskeeter Posted October 24, 2017 Members Posted October 24, 2017 I use the Krazy glue brand with the brush. It rolls around in the storage compartment and I haven't ever had any problems.
Hughesy Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Use the gel instead of the liquid. Its stays where you put it and no problems with the cap. WeekendWarrior 1
Gavin Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Gotta wipe the tip, keep it closed, and upright. Does not always work out that way, so bring extra.
