aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Put in at Beaver and went up stream a bit. Only had about 4 hours to kill. Water has dropped significantly in the last two weeks. Water temp 55-59The courtesy dock is about 3 feet out of the water now. Started trolling flickershads in 15-20 feet stared catching crappie and bass instantly. Uncle Rico was by far the color of choice, they wouldn't touch my Racy shad which is not usually the case. caught about 1 crappie to every 10 bass. Couldn't troll 50 yards without catching a bass, mostly small spots and an occasionally a largemouth or two. It was all I could do to run two rods by myself with all these bass. Ended up with 3 walleye and 5 crappie. Two of the walleye were 22" and one was 19". Every walleye was in one little 50 yard stretch. Most the crappie were just a little over 10" with one being 12". Pretty fun day to be out. Walleye came on the #7 Uncle Rico flicker Shad and two of them were on a #7 flicker minnow in the Firetiger color. I rarely run those bright colors but I was feeling lucky today and it paid off. Wish I could have stayed a little longer to get 1 more walleye but had to get home for the trick or treating duties Royal Blue, tho1mas, Johnsfolly and 3 others 5 1
