Champ188 Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Nothing would surprise me at this point. Maybe Johnny buys Pradco next. evilcatfish 1
Sore Thumbs Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 I'm sure Keith came out good on this deal. Good for him. Great guy. Hunter53, Champ188 and Donna G 3
Royal Blue Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 As if the fishing wasn't disappointing enough yesterday. I log in to this...

Yep, it was Champ. Poor Champ. We were on TR when he got the news. Champ had just said he was going to text Keith and see if he could get some small split rings for a bait modification when someone texted him with the news. It wasn't pretty. Keith is a great guy. Hoping this was a planned retirement and that he's happy. Sore Thumbs Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 On the bright side Champ has a retirement fund when he sells his vintage spinnerbaits. PrePradco. 👍 Donna G, magicwormman, Champ188 and 2 others 3 2
176champion Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Maybe Johnny will buy titleist next... Champ188 1 I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
evilcatfish Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Sad news. I'll definitely need to grab a few mouse spinners before they are gone, but other than those I've pretty much fully converted to Nichols anyway
96 CHAMP Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Champ, any insight as to what you think may happen with this bait with a new manufacturer.
Champ188 Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 My best hopes are that the news release is spot on and that Keith will remain the head of the operation, or at least directly involved with production on a daily basis. In that case, I can’t see any change that would be noticed by the consumer. But if Pradco attempts to cut costs by changing materials or processes then I can’t see the outcome being favorable for us the anglers. evilcatfish, abkeenan, big c and 3 others 6
Sore Thumbs Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 I was told that will be temporary. He is going to oversee for a while then he is out. Probably going to be made in Alabama at some point. 96 CHAMP 1
