Members brianetz1 Posted November 2, 2017 Members Posted November 2, 2017 Anyone hear how the largemouth and white bass are hitting? Coming down for the last time this weekend, and would love to hear what you guys are seeing!
96 CHAMP Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Should be able to fill your limit with whites I would think, and crappie also, I would think the large mouth should be good also, been a couple weeks since I was down
fishinwrench Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Went full bore after the Whites this evening, all I could catch was these. Had 4 that were 15+" and 6-8 short fat ones, twitching this Airhead around shady spots and rootwads. If I was gear fishing I'd have to throw a Fluke, or swim a jig. 96 CHAMP, Seth, Johnsfolly and 2 others 5
Members brianetz1 Posted November 3, 2017 Author Members Posted November 3, 2017 Thanks for the info....we just want to catch fish Looks like it is a good weekend for it....can't wait!
Members brianetz1 Posted November 5, 2017 Author Members Posted November 5, 2017 Rough day fishing. Couldn't find the whites and the largemouth were hard to find. Anyone have any luck?
fishinwrench Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 No luck on the Whites yet (still) but the green bass, for me, are getting easier to catch every day. The flys I'm throwing are something they never see, so I think that has something to do with it. Everything of decent size that I'm catching is coming from 6' and shallower, and there has to be some wood cover nearby. Lots of shorts just laying under dock corners. I don't understand why the Whites aren't crashing stuff better. I know where they are.....they just won't chase and bite for me. 96 CHAMP 1
Old plug Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 I do not know the area you fishing but ths lowering of the water has caused havoc with the lower lake for me. Ths is my time of year to have a lot of fun with sinkos.. I look forward to this every year when the sknko fishng fades so do I. Just to cold for my old bones. I started in earnest yesterday. I could hardly find a bass. The lowering of the lake has left most of the places and structures they lurk around this time of tear out of the water are almost. . It has changed the way they are feeding. I caught one Bass yesterday 3 1/2 and the one below today. That was 5.44. If you know where winter deep banks are you just got to fsh them till your sick of it Both these fish were about 8ft. That males for long time retrieves . I think the big ones are up right now. Old plug Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 I think I am going to head up that way today or tomorrow Wrench. If the shorts are hanging around the corners of the docks thar spells fun to me. That particular type of thing is not happening down here at all even far back in the coves.
