Were you personally responsible for this?  Or is this more copy and paste of someone else's work?:)

I can't claim any of it and wouldn't even if I ram rodded the whole thing.....it was eluded to in another post groups like American Carp Society & Carp Anglers Group are fackless boobz that can't get anything done, yet some of the best most professional people I have met are involved...

I do a lot of useable research.....I do know personally the people that have gotten and seek trophy carp regulations..sorry if this seems to be gloating..just wish those would understand and respect the desires of a user group other than there own,.....£6 billon ($7.88 billon US) in the UK alone is spent on common carp fishing

Texas alone is 3 times larger than the UK who's population... 65.64 million that would mean $36 billion in the USA that each year EACH year...it seems $48 billion is currently spend here on ALL forms of fishing

the attached gov survey was all I could find was from way back in 96....I always hear thats there it won't be that way here....its always said; from music to fashion..it always ends up here........ common carp are unsurpassed in their availability to any angler in the USA, more people fish percapita in the UK than here....

are we getting trophy carp regs? YES its not if its WHEN......what will drive it?.... $ and fun factors.....

Of course it bears mentioning most folks in the UK don't have the opportunity to fish for trout, salmon, pike, bass, etc.  If they had the options available in the states, they may make a different decision.  That makes a direct comparison between the economic benefit there and the economic benefit here is kinda meaningless.
