I'm not sure why crappie were all over the Ned. Tough bite to convert. I missed several others.

Are you swimming the Ned?  I hardly ever catch a crappie on it, but I tend to fish it on the bottom, which may be the reason.  But on the flip side, I do catch a walleye every once in a while, in addition to the bass.

Here's the fish Godfrey took home. I had 5 more Big crappie after that. Another keeper Spot and a couple "keeper" Smallies.

Some were on the bottom, some on the way back up.

Quill,

My son and I caught bunch of crappie in the spring in it.  We just dropped it into brush like any other jig.  We had a bunch of doubles.  Green and orange

I must be holding my mouth wrong.

I think I just got on a wad of them. I got out the crappie Jig and caught a keeper smallie. Go figure.

Congrats on a great day in the rain buddy! Lots of nice fish!

Thanks John. It could well be argued that I should have found some shallow dingy water and tried to get green fish on topwaters or squarebills, but I did what I wanted and made it work (some).
