Ketchup Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 This friday, saturday and sunday. I know i have tags to fill after my crappy season. Lets hope the wind isnt cranking 40+ this weekend. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
Seth Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Temps look comfortable. Dad and I will be headed up towards Kirksville to guide some youth and disabled hunters with the MIssouri Disabled Sportsmen group this weekend. They have some great grounds secured and some nice shooting houses ready to go for the hunters. Hopefully the deer cooperate for them and they can lay waste to some slickheads and keep us busy with the skinning and gutting. grizwilson, BilletHead, MOPanfisher and 2 others 5

Not confident that I will get into any deer.

Seth - I respect you for taking your time and energy to help with this hunt! Congrats! I hope that they get the chance to put down a bunch of deer!
Ketchup Posted November 29, 2017 Author Posted November 29, 2017 Thanks John. Those poor slick heads better grow some antlers within the next 2 days or its lights out. BilletHead 1 TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
Ketchup Posted November 29, 2017 Author Posted November 29, 2017 Good deal for doing that Seth. Ive been involved in the scouting program for years, and really enjoy teaching and helping the youth earn their Eagle Scout, and to see them grow. Those Vets will be grateful in many ways. Just gotta close my eyes when i squeeze the trigger I shot a fawn doe during the urban season about 10 years ago that could not have been more than 60 lbs wet. I carried her to my vehicle on my shoulder. I kept one of the hams fully intact (with the bone in). After some back and forth discussion with Chef Scott Leysath (now the Sporting Chef; at the time was on Hunt, Fish, Cook), I prepared an injectable marinade with rosemary, garlic, and olive oil and injected the meat. I cooked it to medium rare and served it for Christmas dinner. that was one tender and tasty venison meal. Just describing this is making me salivate !
