Well, If MDC interviews that group they may get different answers than the guides provided? Never having been over there to fish I would have guessed guides got 10-12% of all anglers at most, so thinking guides are representative of all users is far out there, but maybe not.
Gavin Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Have not been down there in years, but did get surveyed there once. It was ridiculous...Caught more fish than I cared to count in the span of 4-5 hours. Nothing big lots of stupid friendly fish. Have always preferred size to numbers, but numbers are great sometimes. Whacking small fish on a 3wt is allot of fun for an hour or so. o2bnMO 1

Old plug Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 maybe what you ned to do is go to that Larry's Country Diner show down there. They do not have horses in there and your right up close to some fine enterainers. I have a friends that go there several times a year.
Greasy B Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Size every time. Like Gavin says, pounding on stockers is fun for a little while but there is so much more needed for me to have a quality fishing experience. Unfortunately Tany doesn’t have much and the BS tailwater is losing what it has. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 20, 2017 Root Admin Posted December 20, 2017 I'm starting a poll. One thing that's always mentioned when talking about "trophy fish" is size... what size would you call a trophy trout? Bass? Walleye?
MoCarp Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 I think that is subjective....to me a "trophy" is a fish of any species too large to eat but too small for a wall hanger LMB In our area is 4-8 pounds with the pushing 9 being a wall hanger SMB 2-4 pounds and 5 pounds being a wall hanger Walleye 5-7 pounds with a 10 being a wall hanger yet in they last 15 years or so the really big walleyes we once had seem to be gone MONKEYS? what monkeys?
oneshot Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 Know several that still go down there and fill their Ice Chest. Me I seldom go down but rather be at Forsyth anymore. Use to go every week end back in the '60's and caught several Large Rainbows. oneshot MoCarp 1
