Let us know how that works for you.  I have had to go to a good quality 3/0 to keep my hooks from being straightened out when a good fish attacks it.

Will do Dutch. Water might have to cool down some more before I really use it. Have a tournament tomorrow but the wind isn’t supposed to blow that hard. I’m taking it just in case the weatherman is wrong.😜

Believe it or not, but my buddy caught a 14.5lb striper on an A-rig at Beaver with 3" Easy Shiners on some 1/8oz heads I poured on a #1 hook. Took awhile and even with babying it, still almost straightened the hook, but he got her in the boat, his first striper ever.

Some good looking fish there sir.   Those things love the A rig don't they.

Did you have any trouble with the hooks getting straightened out on the hook set?

Maybe I just set the hook too hard on them.  I went through a series of hook straightenings  on Bull a few years ago.  I finally found a gammy 2/0 that would hold.  It is so hard for me not to swing to the rafters when something hits so hard.
