Hog Wally Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 Lol. The coordinates don't calculate the correct location for the actual place we were at in some of those. Poor cell service on the river I guess. Looks like it just archived them when service picked up. Not that I give a fluck or anything. Greasy B 1
Trout Addict Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 Actually, I would think it would be the coordinates prior to loosing service, because it needs to embed information at the time of the pictures.

jdmidwest Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 My best spots don't have cell service. And my GPS is always off cause I know where I am...... "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

Seriously I am not concerned that most fisherman would even be able to go catch the fish we do even if they had a Nedrig ☺ I am more concerned about the increased pressure from more anglers....that being said it was grave error in my part posting that set of pics.

Be sure and disable GPS in the camera app and not Just the phone. Some cameras also copies GPS coordinates. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.howtogeek.com/211427/how-to-see-exactly-where-a-photo-was-taken-and-keep-your-location-private/amp/ 7 minutes ago, Smalliebigs said: ☺ I am more concerned about the increased pressure from more anglers....that being said it was grave error in my part posting that set of pics. It appeared to me that most of the older pics embedded the GPS coordinates.
Basfis Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Is this satire or serious concern about someone finding a location via a picture and ruining the “spot”?
