Quillback Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Sabine river is flooded, looks to be delayed at least a week if not cancelled. https://www.bassmaster.com/news/elite-sabine-river-delayed Mark Davis is getting a hip replacement, so I imagine he will be out for a while.

That's a bummer. On the bright side if the water is high enough they can probably now retrieve Ike's boat he beached up in that tree a couple years ago. Quillback 1

Ron Burgundy Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 This was from a year or two ago, it’s IKE....he lost control , thankfully no one was hurt. Champ188 1 Gone but not forgotten Martin Ford
mixermarkb Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Ike has grown a lot on me, but that was still harebrained. I’m sure some of the running fast everywhere stuff is a made for TV moment, but common sense should trump ratings on public waterways. I’m all for derby fishing, and I love fast boats, but one derby guy (or derby spectator boat) runs over a crappie fisherman or some kids out playing on a standup paddle board, and we all are going to have speed limits, boating licenses, and all sorts of revenue generating red tape. abkeenan Posted April 2, 2018 Author Posted April 2, 2018 Also, if you remember back a few years ago on TR, BASS Elite Mark Menendez did the same thing. Can't recall if there was a fog, low light conditions or what but he beached THE CRAP out of his rig right there in front of Chateau/Moonshine Beach. He was a good 20+ feet up on that gravel bar. Again a case of using electronics for navigation instead of your eyes/brain. Royal Blue and slothman 1 1
