Just over 2 weeks until the first event. We have about 25 members in the league as of now. Plenty of room for more and still time to get in if you are interested.

Good luck guys and gal.

If that's the wrap on the lake wonder why the heck BASS chose it. I never really understand a lot of BASS's decision making process in regards to what lakes it chooses.  Seems to me they go to the same lakes a bit to often for my taste. The last 6 Classics they will have gone to either Hartwell or Grand in 4 of those years. Lame. I know they chose locations that lend themselves to fan turnout and ease of weigh in sites, but still. Never have any events out West on some of the California lakes that kick out 10-15lb class fish which I think would be interesting.

Yep, it costs a pile to lure BASS into bringing the Classic into an area. Obviously, the Greenville and Tulsa chambers are willing to put up the money.

I marshalled at Table Rock with Brent Chapman last time they were in town and asked him why they pick certain lakes over others such as Table Rock over LOZ and he said it is all about politics and money.  I guess LOZ area chamber of commerce's' don't feel the benefits of bringing events like this to the area are worth it.  I think that's why BASS seems to stick with a lot of the same lakes over the years.

There aren’t really any sizable towns around LOZ  to put up the money. Wish there were ... TR has had about all the beating and publicity it can stand For awhile. Beaver has been fishing better than TR for a year now and that’s just not right.

I wouldn’t be surprised if BASS coming to L of O caused less revenue for the area over the same time span. Best case it’s minimal.  Seems to be busting at the seams with visitors all the time.
