Got the auger for half price at the Bass Pro outlet and it even has an adaptor to use a rechargeable drill. Surely this weather pattern will strike again in the next few years and if I live long enough I can do this a few times. Gavin Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 Have some friends in Minnesota that do it right. All the comforts of home in their ice house. Plenty of perch, walleye, & pike to eat. The ice rarely gets thick enough in MO.

I was looking for a place to open up a small hole to goose hunt over for tomorrow this afternoon. Did not have this drill with me but walked on edge of pond and couldn't chip to water . So warm wind tomorrow then a big change with a low of nine this Saturday night. They have been ice skating in town.
