fishinwrench Posted March 9, 2018 Author Posted March 9, 2018 It only took me 3 years of having a house on the shoreline with a dock to realize I didn't want to live there anymore. Sometimes the things you dream about having are way more trouble than they are worth. Luckily it isn't hard to unload shoreline property. I'm way happier being really close to the lake, but not directly on it. patfish 1
Lvn2Fish Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I think they can learn something from Grand Lake . Duck creek and Woodward hollow have a rule in place. If your boat is wider than 8.5 feet , if your boat is longer than 26 ft . You must have absolutely no wake . Anything smaller has a 30 mph limit .
Members Charlie Shilharvey Posted March 12, 2018 Members Posted March 12, 2018 its absurd what you have to drive through on the weekends to get from A to B. I don't enjoy going down there In the summer near like I used to, and almost refuse to on a holiday weekend. They need to do something with the larger boats its out of control
Gavin Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Go boating with a client on his 40' occasionally. Rides great. Would not want to be out there in a smaller boat.

Gavin Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 I bill 1/2 rate for the drive, plus mileage, full rate for the meeting,, 1/2 for for any other time up to 8hrs a day. Pretty sure their controller runs all of the Lake expenses through various companies, but I am not required to ask. Just get a bunch of trial balances and prepare tax returns based on the info they give me and they attest too it. Darn good billing.
