Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 22, 2018 Root Admin Share Posted January 22, 2018 I've been updating some of the pages on OA. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 22, 2018 Author Root Admin Share Posted January 22, 2018 They've been running water for the past 3 days now - at this strange flow. 10 mw, < 1,000 cfs at 703 feet I need to go up and look at it below the dam. I think this is actually less than the recommended "minimum flow" the Corps was looking at years ago. I say strange because I don't think I've ever seen it at this flow for any duration of time. I think I like it thought!!
snagged in outlet 3
I noticed that too. I'd be curious to see that at the dam.
JestersHK
My best days and nights up there were right around 700-800cfs. Just enough flow to keep things moving and still plenty of accessible water for wading.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 22, 2018 Author Root Admin Share Posted January 22, 2018 http://www.ozarkanglers.com/lake-taneycomo/generation-on-lake-taneycomo/ Here's a page I created, talking about generation and wading. Give me some feedback please. laker67

JestersHK
Looks and sounds about right Phil. There's a few places you can wade out a bit with 3 to 4k running, but you gotta be careful as it slopes off pretty quick and waters moving pretty good. Up between cable and outlet one that first point you can get pretty far out with flow, and then down by the last outlet you can navigate the grass bed with flow too to hug the bank and get a bit farther down stream. Knock on wood I haven't got caught yet, but I'm also overly cautious especially at night with any generation. I'll also say I've had the water come up multiple times at night with no horn warning. Had to hoof it back from rebar one night and it was the closest I've come to topping my waders. Know your reference rocks and if they disappear get moving. I'm right at 6ft tall for reference. I say that as one of my buddies who is a bit vertically challenged dipped himself one night going through grass flats... He still gives me trouble for it. I guess 6 inches will do that Ham
