176champion Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Two boats collided on Lake Okeechobee during the FLW tourney ... https://scout.com/outdoors/bass-fishing/Article/Two-Bass-Boats-Collide-on-Okeechobee-114249869 I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! fishinwrench Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Good grief! I'm beginning to get the Impression that there's a bunch of young men with not enough boating experience out there on the tournament circuit. Brian Jones, grizwilson, Champ188 and 1 other 4
Basfis Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Wow! FLW is really losing any credibility it had left. Dramatic crash on film with their college series, Sappington accident, two incidents on the big O. Really sad for those involved. Safety has to be a priority in life. FLW needs to do some soul searching. Champ188 1
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Love how people blame it on FLW. Kinda like blaming Obama for global warming

Brian Jones, Champ188 and Basfis 3
MOPanfisher Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 At what point does it become the responsibility of FLW to ensure the boat operators are safe. Beyond requiring them have whatever state mandated training requirement, insurance, and taking action on reported unsafe operation I don't know what they could do.

Not all manufacturers or construction companies have accidents like some of the others. Just saying to dig into the why.

IMO once they promote and profit, the responsibility begins. Not a knock, just implications of their business choice. It’s guessing at solutions from outside the inner circle. Anyone know what qualification there is for the Tour? Is it invite like Elites? I really don’t know.
fishinwrench Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Stuff happens I guess. But these guys are supposed to be "Pro's". Hitting a submerged stump can happen to anyone. Hitting a bridge piling or another boat however....pretty much requires a bonehead at the helm.
