I read somewhere a student was injured by a jumping silver carp, I would how they do a study on the sizes/ages of the fish removed...it will be be for naught if they can't keep them out but when it floods they are just SOL...would be interesting to see how the bitter weather we have had effects them

When I saw that this morning the first thing I thought was "Where is SIO3 doing his part for the eradication?"

I had my fun with them and I'm over it.  Although they are big they don't fight as good as a common.  Besides that, they are nasty.

My best day was probably 9-10 of them in a couple hours.

I didn't weigh them because they literally fall apart if you touch them so I went with length.  I few were 3'.

And I know they don't take flies.....But they do.

Doesn't bother them at all as far I have seen.  And I can show you thousands of them.

I'd rather just NOT FISH than to mess around with those disgusting zombies.

During "Eagle Days" below Bagnell you could watch the eagles swoop down like they were gonna scoop one up, then as soon as they realized what they were they'd change their mind.

They do take flies. Some friend's used to chase them with fly rods at some lake spillway in Illinois. Guess the thrill of catching big stinky fish wore off because I haven't heard anything about it in several years. I'm sure the fish are still there if anyone wants to seek them out and catch them.
