The most impressive tank to me is the Piranha and Neon and Cardinal Tetra tank with the live plants. I could stare at it for hours Livie really liked getting close to the piranha as well. I think that this was one of the best set-up tanks in the aquarium. Another South American favorite fish of mine is the peacock bass. JestersHK 1

I think they lost their huge freshwater ray in the walkthrough tunnel along with I know a few giant crabs. Whooo huge freshwater ray is still there not sure where he was hiding the last time I was there Johnsfolly 1 Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.

Basfis Posted February 14, 2018 Posted February 14, 2018 I’ve only been they with wife and kids. One day I want to wander the animal side and read every placard. The transition from pre-historic to native to buffalo hunters and Teddy Rosevelt could easily take 2 hours to read and comprehend. I would love to thumb thru teddy’s book under glass in the replica cabin. Johnsfolly 1

If I do that again I would go through one portion in the morning, go out and get lunch and then go back and go through the rest. Since they scan your tickets at each part instead of tearing it shouldn't be a problem going off site to get lunch. Only issue may be parking !
Terrierman Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 My personal favorite was the Zane Grey movie when the ocean just comes alive with bait trying to get away from what I presume to be a school of tuna. I thought it was an awesome place. Johnsfolly 1
