fishinwrench Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 I'd love to possess the skills that whitewater guys have, but I've never had the balls to play chicken with fast and heavy water. I just have too much respect (fear?) of it. Grumpy53 and Royal Blue 2
abkeenan Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 While that is a pretty neat trick, I believe that would be illegal on TR. First off, those boats need to be 50+ feet away from each other. Second of all, that "start up" would get flagged immediately by Water Patrol when the two boats pass the kayak to get him going. Can only imagine two less skilled boaters attempting this and running over the poor 'yaker. IL Fisherman 1
fishinwrench Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I don't see anything "illegal" going on. Is there a 50' law on TR?
Pat Magee Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 The kayaker is actually Erik Jackson (owner and founder of Jackson Kayaks) he definitely wanted to be there that's for sure! I am not sure I could trust one, yet alone two boat operators to make this happen. In Green Bay I saw a bunch of guys doing this with one boat and a wakeboard. The guy would just ride the wake until he fell or got tired. It was pretty badass!
vernon Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 If I didn't already know what the Darwin Award was I'd say that that's just plain stupid. Yankees fan that doesn't speak English though so there's that......... "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." George Carlin "The only money ever wasted is money never spent." Me.
