Well hey, a man can't carry EVERYTHING, sometimes a certain bait/technique has to be culled. Just a personal choice. If somebody spanks me from the back of the boat with a wacky trick worm it'll only take about 13 seconds to put them back in the boat once I get home. Pretty sure I can scrounge up a winner on a bite like that with what's currently in the boat though.
dblades Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 One of the few times color can make a difference for me. I thought I was catching them pretty good once on a swirled orange and pink combo, but when I changed to yellow the fish got bigger and a little more frequent. magicwormman 1

But I think I throw a floating worm almost every time I go fishing. I know it's limiting production but it sure is a hell of a lot of fun. grizwilson and magicwormman 2
Bill Babler Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Ddlades hit this right on the head. Probably not another single bait that we throw where color is such a factor to such extent i have seen times when pink and mercurochrome won’t get bit and yellow or chartreuse gets hammered. Pearl or White at times and then you have GP and Mar-gra interesting bait and for the life of me I have not found that water color or rain or shine influence what color to use As dblades said, at times they will just peck or swirl on a color and a different color they will hammer Here is another deal. If you see one and miss him immediately toss either Ned or a small jig or small shaky head in there. Most times a done deal Good Luck and nice Thread Sore Thumbs, Carl W, magicwormman and 1 other 4 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Bill Babler Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 I also think Eric Prey may have a fluke video. He was throwing a tandem fluke several years ago and doing well with it. I believe he was using white. I believe he had multiple doubles on it. This was just prior to the A-rig At that time we were also tandem rigging Storm Wild Eye Shad and whacking them. Then the A-Rig bomb dropped and now you have the rest of the story Sore Thumbs 1 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Sore Thumbs Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 I’ve found disco blue flukes to be the best color. Pearl white early then disco blue after sun gets up. Carl W 1
