Thumbs they only make one of the 7 series and its the 721.  It was their flagship boat when they started and they have kept it in the lineup.  The  only difference in it and the 921XP is from the bow seat forward it has a tighter more pointed nose.  If you are a big man the XP would be the better boat.  They are a young man's tournament boat.  They will just scream and can handle any water.  The same configuration and hull is on the 921XP EXCEPT  it has a wider nose and is much more easily accessible for bigger and may I say more experienced fishermen.

ie, mature.

The 721 is also a national sales promotion boat with all the goodies added at a very great price.  If you don't like the electronics on the 721 you can substitute anything but the reason it is priced on a national sales event is because of the equipment it has and when you sub it out you change the advertised price.

As far as ride and performance the 921XP and the 721 are going to compare right down to the ground.

When you move into the 921 PHX, that is where the difference is in hull and organization.  It is pretty much a totally different boat than either the XP or the 721  Price point on the 721 is fantastic.  I'm guessing you are about like me and either this one or the next one will be your last so you want to get what you want and ride with it.

Good Luck and if I can do anything to help your process I'll be more than happy to assist anyone with a Phoenix.

Ill second McCallister Marine.  I needed my opti hooked up to a mercury computer to prime the oil pump.  Called around and Sport Boats wanted $100 for a 5 minute job. I hooked up and decided to take it to Ulrich but i stopped by McCallisters on the way just for the heck of it.  He brought his lap top out hooked it up and was done with it. He charged me $20 and saved me a lot of extra time and driving

Man I apologize from the start here, but Smalls21 I have been down off the forum for a while.  I'm sure I'm in the dark here but do you own a boat dealership or a certified Mercury service center?  If so and again I apologize for not knowing could you please let everyone here on the forum know about your business and your name and who to contact  as we are all looking for certified centers to take our motors,

Again I apologize for not knowing if this is common knowledge and I'm the one holding the snipe bag.

Thanks so much Bill

I grew up in the car business and have a hard time buying new. Ideally I’ll be looking for a boat that is still under warranty but not new. In Arkansas you don’t pay sales tax on used. I looked for a long time before I bought my Skeeter. I made a really good buy on it. I’ve had it for 5 years. I don’t “need” a newer boat I just want one. One of these days something will come along. Appreciate your help on telling me about the Phoenix. Only a handful of them at Beaver so we don’t have much exposure to them.

Buy Quills, he should be ready for a new one and we all know that boat is an experienced fish catcher:D  Tell him to leave his way points for both Beaver and Table Rock and you could go into the guide business or just catch lots of fish on your own.

Probably just need to turn the key on that Phoenix and it will take you right to the good ole goodins:grin:

I hazard to say that Jeff has caught more fish up the White than just about anyone including me over the last 5 or so years and I call it home.

Well thanks for the compliment Mr. Babler, but I know that you can out fish me on the White any and every day.  I just try and keep up (and fail miserably).

I like my boat, no plans to sell it, I am hoping it is my last one.  When I get too old to push the fiberglass around I may go to an aluminum, but hopefully that day is still a long ways out.

No worries Bill !

I really don't go advertising that much due to some negative reactions.

I work for Bass Pro Service Center in Springfield, I am just a service writer, so nowhere near as knowledgeable as Wrench, but try to help out my fellow anglers as much as i can.
