I don't know if you will ever see "local" and club tournaments go to the MLF format. MLF works because its a limited number of anglers, cameras and a marshal in every boat, and remember MLF is for TV and attracts a whole new audience to tournament or "pro" bass fishing. MLF is more exciting to watch for most folks then watching BASS LIVE and watching anglers key on only 5 fish, they can watch an entire tournament in an hour time slot.

I think in theory the MLF format is great but only works due to the $$ behind it. Its a production and is edited for TV to make money and sell advertising. They have put together and awesome marketing strategy and are making a killing $$$$!!

The weights aren't any less impressive at any of the daily tournaments held at any of our lakes.   And since it is so popular, and making so much $$$$ then why not make them all that way ?

There are plenty of people out there that need jobs.  The money ain't a problem, that's obvious.  Just up the entry fees enough to cover their wages.  There's plenty of OOW or retired guys out there that would gladly sit and watch/score for the cost of lunch.  

Not to mention the guys running YT channels.  Let them do it.

It's a lot harder to cheat using technology like the yak guys do than what is going on now. Besides I thought all these tournament fisherman were all just honest good ol boys bringing money to us hillbillys.

If I’m not mistaken the score tracker live is available for whoever wants to use it. It would be like a regular club tournament but you’d know who was winning and there’s no weigh in. http://scoretrackerlive.com/

Yep, we could have tournaments right here on OAF.  Launch wherever you want at the prescribed time and check in when you get off the water.  It would be more fun than all that bagging up and standing in line holding a bag of water crap.

We should buy the software and setup an OAF Online Tournament. We are an online community why not have an online tournament. 5 largest bass, in inches, and give a decent period of time so more have an opportunity to win. It wouldn't matter if you were fishing a river, pond, or lake.
