I didn't get on the water till 12:30, had some business to tend to in town as im in packing stage getting ready to move. Caught a couple dinks about 10-12 inchers, nothing exciting did not even see fish on the sonar to get excited about. Water temperature was 79.5 to 80.5 degrees and lite wind was blowing and of coarse the wake boats where out and the tubers and skiers, got off the water around 4:30.I know im not suppose to lay fish on my carpet but trying to hold fish and take picture with boat bobbing around from the wake boats was almost impossible.

Hate to hear the ocean liners are already out midweek up that a way.

Saw the largest boat I've ever seen on TR just down from Piney on Sunday.  How or why the Corp allows this is beyond me. Massive wave doesn't do justice to what we saw in the aftermath of this thing going down lake. Been on this lake for 45 years and NEVER seen the likes. I can't imagine the effects on the bedding fish caused by the wake let alone the damage to the environment and personal property (boat docks).

If the COE is truly concerned about protecting the Federal (taxpayer) property on TR then why are these things allowed to go any faster than idle speed? I will answer my own question....... big money and big egos.

Sorry but as the resident COE apologist it just ain’t their call.

Only Congress can tell the COE what to do and what with the Blunts and Claire pushing for LESS regulation and even MORE big docks and big boats I don’t think it’s gonna happen - at least not in my lifetime.

Too much money to be made.

COE doesn’t dictate policy - only enforces what’s on the books as established by congressional rule.

Sucks I know and everybody I ever knew in the COE completely agrees with you (and me).

Water Patrol is virtually powerless as well. By law the dude in the big boat just ain’t doing anything wrong and neither the COE or WP can write legislation.

Also why I’m looking seriously at relocating my trips to Bull Shoals.
