Just tell them they aren't supposed to do that and direct them to a sign. Some people truly don't know. If they do know and continue breaking the rules, then just hope they eventually get caught or make a call to the Game Thief hotline and move on. That's all you can really do.

I see this same stuff all the time everywhere I fish, not just the trout parks. It amazes me that people think they can do anything they like.i politely tell them that are not playing by the rules. If that doesn't work then I call the proper authorities.I try not to get all worked up so it ruins my day.I would think more enforcement at Bennett would be beneficial but then would that hurt the local take at the gate.

They enforce randomly at Bennett, you truly never know if you're about to get in trouble or not.   I have been ticketed for letting my kid and her friend ride in the back of the truck from the Highbank hole to the park store at a peak speed of 12 mph.  Got pulled over and given a ticket going up the hill to Larry's for ice cream and not wearing a seat belt.   And also got repremanded and had my truck searched for drinking a beer with lunch on the tailgate.

All of the above you can see people doing every single day without a care in the world.  I just must have one of those faces that says "Please jack with me!" to anyone wearing a badge.  And it doesn't help that I am a natural born smart@$$ who is somewhat crafty with words.   Simply driving through Bennett is uncomfortable for me, I feel like I might have to submit to a body cavity search. And quite frankly....I AM a virgin.

been twenty years or more since I was up there, Do they really have cameras watching people urinate at BSSP? Isn't that an invasion of privacy?

This one still baffles me. I have had several conversations with park people while drinking a beer at Roaring River. Nobody ever said anything. I never even knew it was a policy until that day I had a bottle sitting on your tailgate and you told me the story.

So is the rule that you can't drink in these parks?

Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on beaches, parking areas and off-road-vehicle areas in all state parks and historic sites.

This is the new rule.  Used to be no alcohol throughout MO state parks.  Of course we've been drinking at them for years.  Never hid it just didn't know it was a law.

Memory gets holes in it with time but, I seem to recall a 6' sign in RRSP about 30 years ago that indicated alcohol was prohibited there. I don't recall seeing those signs recently. Enforcement of the alcohol ban would likely fall on the sewer and mining cops since the Parks belong to DNR.

The poaching would fall to MDC Enforcement Division, most of whom need to be in at least three places at once, because there simply aren't very many of them, one per county for the most part and I believe they are limited to 40 hour weeks. (Although I believe BSSP may have the use of four Agents because of it's location in two counties.)

So, if we want poaching slowed or stopped, it is up to each of us to make that phone call. 1-800-392-1111  On the other hand, if we just don't care that much or if we want to encourage and enable; we should just walk on by and not whine on the 'net about our own lack of responsibility.  Several years ago I got the cell number for the local warden,  I bet if you ask you can the cell # for the Agent near you.

The Mo.State Hwy Patrol is always cruising through Bssp. They don't charge an entrance fee.More enforcement might discourage some from coming to the park

ah, some days I'm slow. But, if the ones discouraged from coming to the Park are poachers or other criminals, isn't keeping them out a good thing? Surprised the State Patrol is present that often, don't recall ever seeing one at RRSP.  So, do we believe MSHP is there to watch for poachers? Or just a show of presence to deter urinaters? and drug traffickers?
