Yes he has that ho hum demeanor.  I sometimes wonder if he might be Snow Whites 8th Dwarf. Wonder what it would take to get him excited?

Since I know where some fish are now I pulled the 3wt. out of the closet and tied an olive BH on . Hope to post pics tomorrow of it attached to some of my finny friends. Those topwaters look cool, very nice job on those.

Man those big ones are gonna be a blast on a 3wt! Can't wait to see more JJ.  Thanks for sharing.

Started with the fly rod and the little BH and caught one on the first cast. Caught a dozen in the first half hour before switching to ultralight rod. Grass was wet and muddy from the rain and area slopes down to the water. My feet slid out from under me and ended up partly in the lake, both legs in with my rear at the water's edge. Probably funny but nobody around but lake muck didn't smell very good. Flies must have liked the smell and started biting my legs better than the fish. Caught two bigger female gills close to 9" on a shrimp pattern tied on a 1/200 shad dart head. 0 Redear but over 30 gills total, don't know where the Redear went.IMG_1023.JPGIMG_1027.JPGIMG_1030.JPGIMG_1029.JPG

Nice job, and those pics turned out really great!  Looks like the BH Micros are working as designed... If only I knew a guy who could hook me up with some of those :P

I ate it the other day on one of my local ponds too.  Same situation, but didn't quite make it in, just got myself and all of my fly line covered in mud LOL.

If he wants to make more I'd send him more heads. I have more than I thought I did. Have plenty of little jigs on #10-!2 sickle hooks if you want to try some. Can throw them on spinning or the fly rod. If you want to tie your own I can send some painted heads.

I appreciate that, but I would have to send them to BH first LOL.  I've tied maybe 4 or 5 jigs my whole life with my cousin.  As Marty would say I can't sit still long enough to get into that hobby :)

Plus the one time I made a really killer looking jig, got the wraps looking halfway decent, and laid in a pheasant tail just perfectly, I hooked a nice rainbow on my first cast.  Second cast right into a tree... Jig gone... sadness commenced.  It's part of the game, but the fact my cousin tied like 10 jigs in the time it took me to make just that one I decided I am better at fishing the lures than making them LOL

I have hundreds of these little jigs already tied and want to pass some on for others to try. I will mail a half dozen to the first five people who want to try them. Just need address and will put a stamp on an envelope and get them in the mail. They will be on size 8-12 hooks, 1/64 or smaller heads.

Very nice of you Jim.  I have enough tackle, so I won't block someone else.  I would like to fish with you one day.  You seem to have the local ponds figured out.
