          Oh Man,

. Camper goes on tomorrow and don't want to haul the boat all over with that on the truck. Thanks for sharing this Ham,

You know who has a boat? I do. You would NOT have to trailer yours.

Nice fish.

It would break my heart and flip my world view on its head if fish that pretty are fresh from the hatchery.

With lots of water, lots of food and an astonishing growth rate I always figured it took a couple of months to go from pellet pale to rainbow brilliant.

Probably right on 2 months to go from pellets to natural food. Here is my take on it....

Jim Hinkle started stocking the bigger trout around the first of the year.  I saw a big improvement in the size of the trout on the Spring river earlier this year as did my friend/guide over there Mark Crawford. This spring when the White and Norfork were running big water I made some trips to the Spring river and I watched them load from the same runs to stock the White.

I think we need to thank AGFC, Christy Graham (trout program manager), Melissa Jones and the folks at Jim Hinkle for a job well done. I think they are looking at the same number of pounds but fewer/larger fish going into the rivers.

Don't know about you guys but I am happy with less small stockers and more decent sized trout.

Thanks For the report Ham!

Have not had a lot of chances to get down there this summer with my youngest graduating HS, mission trip to the Houston area with our Youth Group to help those from Hurricane Harvey flooding devastation, and selling my house in Eastern Iowa and getting moved into the new home and out from a second mortgage (woohoo)

Ill be coming down in August 9-12th to do some 4 wheeling (open invitation for anyone wanting to join in the fun) over in hot spings orv park. that weekend is an outing for Camp Sunshine (burn victims) to take them out for the day 4-wheeling on cat 2 and cat 3 trails. should be great fun.

Thinking about extending the trip to Monday, Tues and wed Aug 13th 14th and 15th on the White at my place in Flippin, if my buddy Rob decides to come down, otherwise Im looking for a couple more trips between Sept and Nov if anyone is interested in meeting up before the jig fest in Dec.

I run one clicker in the Bass Boat, a second clicker in the trout boat, and a third in the yak so I spread the load around. I have a NIB backup should trouble arise.

Another 112 caught today. I learned more about the area I have been concentrating on.

I got another 19 inch Brown in High Current. It literally took minutes to land. We were both tired when I slipped the net under it, but I was Happy as well. Released of course.

Fly rod would have been big fun today. Much lower numbers, but still. I may do that tomorrow.

To the point at hand, I’m always interested in fishing with you Eric. Text me wheb we get closer ok?

I dont doubt it!

I've personally seen him advance the clicker with his chin while shaking off a 20 inch cutthroat  from the barbless tri-olive 1/32 while simultaneously opening a Twinkie wrapper with his teeth.. Honest to goodness! :P (it was a special edition Twinkie "Red" candy cane flavored)
