vernon Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Sounds like fibromyalgia to me. Well, let's see here - you keep saying that it hurts but we have no idea why. OK, I got it. Let's call it this and see if you'll believe it and then maybe you'll go away and leave me alone. Otherwise I've got an even better idea! We'll invent a really expensive drug and tell you that it will fix it even though we have zero evidence that it actually does. Now, we might have to make a bunch of really expensive TV commercials to convince you to try to it but what the heck - it could be fun. And we could make a boatload of money to boot! Now stop asking so many questions about things just because my answers don't make sense and leave me alone...... fishinwrench, Champ188 and abkeenan 3 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." George Carlin "The only money ever wasted is money never spent." Me.

If I had a pea size brains to start with, you start taking oxygen away and it will slow all responses. Eventually ( it doesn't take long) if the oxygen stays low you pass out and die. They had a really hard time waking me once when an aircraft had a pressure leak. This isn't the first or last DO caused fish kill on TR. If you've been watching the generation schedule they haven't been running much water either in or out of the lake, so I can see there being low DO pockets forming. Ok, then why hasn't this kinda thing been happening all of our lives? I've been around for 55 summers.

Put me on the payroll, and I bet I can come up with something better than what is being offered. I don't know the answer, I just am pretty sure that the answer given is incorrect. So I'm enlightening you to the possibility that your biologist is full of bull. vernon 1

My first college course was taught by a limnology major, a lake isn't like a glass of water with everything consistent. I was thinking the same thing myself, carbon monoxide poisoning, or lack of oxygen, when it happens to humans you just pass out and, in the case of carbon monoxide, die. I'm thinking there was a sudden change in oxygen levels, fish couldn't react to it, and they died. Or maybe not, but that's what I'm going with.
dblades Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 I had a GF like that, didn't know the answer but was sure you were wrong. Makes for a hard relationship. snagged in outlet 3 and fishinwrench 1 1

Judging by your faith based belief in anyone who calls themself a biologist, I'm siding with the girl. Choosing to believe something doesn't make it true. 😊 Smalls21 1

And this just suddenly started happening a few years ago ? That's some good science right there, boy! If by chance it's accurate then it is indeed incomplete. 😅
