Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  I tend to love streams with lots of impressive bluffs, clean gravel bars, and as few signs of human civilization as possible.  So my top five in Missouri would be:

1.  Upper Jacks Fork

2.  Current between Round Spring and Logyard

3.  Big Piney between Mason Bridge and Ft. Wood

4.  Eleven Point, entire national scenic river stretch

5.  St. Francis, Silvermines to Hwy. C-N bridge (just because it's so different from every other floatable stream in Missouri)

Honorable mention to the middle Gasconade, lower Niangua, Meramec between Steelville and Meramec State Park, the whole upper Current River above Round Spring and Jacks Fork below Alley Spring.  And the Buffalo In Arkansas tops them all.

Can’t argue with that. I still need to get on the upper JF. I’ve floated the Current from Williams Landing to Two Rivers, and that is the only other place I’ve seen that is “somewhat” comparable to the lower Buffalo for scenery. Buffalo rules all though.

big sugar above cyclone is the best fishing in sw missouri...but I don't think the scenery is great.  don't bother with the spring...it's a tangled mess.

My favorite in missouri is the jacks fork above alley...but I've never been to 11 point...hope to change that in 2k19

My all time favorite float was the upper buffalo...fishing wasn't great but scenery makes up for it...we only went to Kyle's landing...but the water was swift...and it was me and an 8 year old son in our boat...it was pretty dangerous or so it seemed...just the right level of excitement.

Some/most of it. Pruitt to Hasty is not that spectacular, IMO.

Yeah, the upper Buffalo emerges from the Boston Mountains a little downstream from Camp Orr, and from there down for a while the scenery is really pretty but not any better than several other streams.  It gradually gets better the farther you go down, and by the time you get to Woolum it's getting rather spectacular again.  By the time you get to Maumee the bluffs are REALLY impressive, and from Buffalo Point to the mouth is the premier near wilderness river experience in the Ozarks.

For a real visual treat you'll wanna check out the meremac river from valley park down to where it dumps into the Mississippi.  Don't camp on the gravel bars...

The lower Meramec is nice in a few spots, you might be surprized.

Lower Meramec is a typical urban river.  Lots of trash, lots of messed up banks with "creative" rip rap.  Slow and usually murky.  But if you know what you're doing the fishing for multi-species can be very good, and there are some really pretty little pieces of it.  If it wasn't for the influence of the Mississippi, it would be pretty nice.  Unfortunately, when the Mississippi is high it backs water up the Meramec and makes it into a 20-40 mile long slough, and the mud settles on the bottom, so that when the big river goes back down the Meramec is a mudhole.  It's actually at its best when we get high water on the Meramec while the Mississippi is low.  Cleans the Meramec out and when it goes back down it seems a lot cleaner.

Now if St. Louis County could spend the money to really upgrade their whole sewage treatment system, it would be even better...right now there is a lot of smelly water coming into the lower Meramec.
