Damage or no damage to the bridge? I drove truck for 31 years and the driver will get a big ticket and the company that he drives for will be responsible for damages! That is why they post signs that are to be read! Quillback, snagged in outlet 3 and big c 3

Such a huge weight discrepancy betweeen bridge capacity and vehicle weight should be an enormous red flag to that driver. 🤦♂️ It’ll be interesting to hear if there’s any damage to the bridge.

The bridge is closed until further notice. They were already doing repairs from 8 to 4 pm weekdays when the incident occurred (two buses btw) The bridge is damaged though no one yet has stated the cause. People in Beaver are forced to take the long way via 62 or Roaring River if they want to work, shop, or go to church. Many will leave their cars on the Holiday Island side and walk across to avoid the detour. If the buses caused damage, more than a ticket will be at stake.
skeeter Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 If those two buses were carrying passengers you were looking at video of another potential Mass Casualty Incident like the unfortunate Branson Duck-boat incident. Goes to prove "you can't fix stupid" ! If the depth of the water there didn't drown people, the drop down to it certainly would have.
ollie Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Saw that video the other day and I think it said 2 buses that size had crossed over. Scary to say the least. "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!

When I saw the video I immediately thought of the duck boat video they kept showing on the news. Could've been a tragedy

Yep, it’s the same level of stupidity, it will be a tragedy if the driver doesn’t lose his CDL. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
Ellros Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 It made National News today I noticed. Maybe it had before, but I only saw it on a National site today.
