Might not hurt to bring some breakfast snacks like doughnuts or pastries, usually someone cooks something for breakfast, but some of the guys get out early and might want something quick before heading out. I can see if the Asian market in Columbia has those oyster mushrooms again and do fried mushrooms on Friday along with the sculpin fry. BilletHead, Terrierman and Daryk Campbell Sr 1 2

So when you batter and fry sculpin fillets and oyster mushrooms together is it possible (after they are cooked) to visually tell one apart from the other? Just wondering in case anyone has allergic reactions to eating sculpin - would not want anyone with that condition to accidently eat a sculpin fillet when they thought they were getting a mushroom. Oyster mushrooms lack pectoral fins. They are prominent on sculpins. It's a sure tell. JestersHK, Quillback, BilletHead and 2 others 5
Johnsfolly Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Thats why you leave the head and fins on. Crispy chip like fins and crunchy eyes. Can't confuse that with a mushroom. So we'll be good 😂. Quillback, Daryk Campbell Sr and Terrierman 1 2
BilletHead Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Sculpins swim around in the skillet. Terrierman Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 I'll check the freezer for any stray mushrooms too. Seems like there should be a bag in there somewhere. Quillback and Johnsfolly 1 1

Wish that I could bring the chicken mushrooms. I'm already paying to bring my rods. So can't bring a cooler of mushrooms as well. @BilletHead I'll have to pick up Don's when I get there as well. I have not found that batter mix here.. yet. I hope that some store around here sells that brand.
