Quillback Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Yikes! If true, trees and limbs are going to be falling around here.
Dutch Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 And maybe shingles. I was going fishing on the nice (Monday) forecast until the 60+ mph gusts took shingles off the roof of my house. I was able to line up a crew to fix it but the job couldn't be done until mid afternoon Monday which shot my plans. It is 9 am and rocking here. They say tomorrow is going to be worse. Quillback 1
liphunter Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 We built our house among-st the trees. We like that and enjoy it that way. But it does increase the pucker factor when you have winds like that!!! Daryk Campbell Sr and Quillback 2 Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???
BilletHead Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Yep and with the super saturated ground shallow rooted trees are beginning to give up and fall over. ollie Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 That is how we lost our storage shed and fence. Ground got saturated so bad when a big gust of wind came up it toppled! "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
MOPanfisher Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 I keep checking around pasture etc. But so far no issues, it's windy here but not really rocking yet, soon though I suspect.
